Y(M)ARN: Before Story

A 2D visual novel combined with 3D turn-based combat and mechanics. This story is about Hope; a human who had found themselves in a realm far from home, and formed a bond with a God named Lux amidst the chaos that unfolds.

I am the VFX and 3D artist for this team project in addition to being one of the game designers.

Disinheritance

A first person, 3D horror-stealth narrative game where you play as Martin, a vengeful thief determined to steal artworks made by your renowned uncle as your rightful claim to your inheritance. Players must steal paintings while avoiding detection from a monstrous entity haunting the mansion.

I am the Art Lead for this group project, in charge of texturing and modelling majority of the 3D art assets, as well as designing the mansion floor layouts and interior environment.

Symphonica Restitua

A 2D pixel rhythm game about a mysterious wandering musician who fights using music. Instead of following the traditional rhythm games, Symphonica Restitua incorporates an engaging simulation of strumming a guitar. There are 3 different levels of difficulty.

My role in this group project was to design the interfaces, and implement art assets and animation for gameplay and cutscenes into Unity.

Downstream

Downstream is a 2D top-down horror game in which two teenagers embark on an unknown journey. The only way in is via the river, which the pair kayaks along, encountering strange entities from both the river and the forest. In this solo project, Downstream is a two-person multiplayer game in which players must work together to navigate a river with limited visibility and reach the other side.

The Ordinary Man’s Odyssey 

A solo project about writing an experience draft of an original quest campaign and level design for a single player experience. The main character named Samus who is but a mere ordinary craftsman, sets forth towards an unexpected journey with an eldritch entity's disembodied Voice in his head. The player has to complete key sub-objectives of the campaign, collect resources and currency in order to achieve the main objective: assemble the entity back to completion.

The maps are made using a map making platform called Inkarnate.
